  1. You've managed to make the grey sky look gorgeous!

  2. This willow looks exactly the opposite of weeping. It looks wildly alive, like it is electrified, raising its branches to heaven. Such a special photo!

  3. Like black chantilly lace.
And I agree: it doesn't strike me as a tearful tree :-)

  4. Hmmm, I apologize if this is a repeat post. I accidentally closed my browser before I was done. Anywho...the branches seem to stretch outward toward everything, which is totally contrasting to most Weeping Willows I have seen that dangle toward the ground. Great shot! Now GFC following....;)

  5. @ Dina, jo-hanna, Cathy: Everything depends on the camera angle, I was directly under the tree :)

  6. Whenever I see a willow tree I think of the sculpture of a willow tree in the courtyard of the synagogue in Budapest. Each leaf is a sliver of metal on which is engraved the name of a victim of the Hungarian holocaust. It is very moving.

  7. You've definitely managed to change the appearance from 'weeping' to 'shocked' :) just by the angle Karl. Nice work!

  8. Looks like those branches were etched into the sky. Super shot.

  9. A very vivid, dynamic shot, Karl. It's a different angle than what we'd usually see in a tree, and it works very well.

  10. You gave this a wonderful perspective, to make an otherwise plain shot a memorable one.
