Industrial murals II - 1

In May 2015 an about 500 meters long gray wall in the industrial zone of Bolzano was assigned to mural-art artists from all over the world. In this series I'll show you the (best) results.

(*) Canederland is meant as land of the Canederli (Italian) or Knödel (German)
Bolzano is, in the meaning of the artist, a land where many canederli are eaten...
and it is so...

Ah, dumplings! Had to search under knödel to figure out what those are. :-)

My mother used to make wonderful dumplings! I haven't had good ones since.

That is some mural! I would like to see it in person. I'm not sure if I like it or not. It looks like an attempt to legitimatize graffiti! :)

The rock is limestone (actually, coquina - which is limestone mixed with seashells a process that began eons ago in this area).

Ach! Ich esse gerne Knödel. Welche Sorte machen die Leute da - Kartoffel oder Semmel Mehl - oder gemischte?

Well it certainly brightens up a grey wall for sure Karl, perfect to cheer up an industrial zone.

Mag weder diese Wandmalerei noch Knödel, aber über Geschmack läßt sich ja streiten !

This is wonderful idea to make color to the city.
Very lovely mural.

I usually don't care much for "street art," but it seems that this mural is on an approved wall, so it is OK. We don't see many paintings of bears in lederhosen playing concertinas over here.

Thanks for the interpretation; otherwise the intent would have gone waaay over my head. I thought he was just cute, plump Tyrolian bear. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
